Deloitte Consulting Invests in Intira Corp. NEW YORK, March 13, 2001 (SmartPros) Through its venture capital arm Deloitte Consulting Ventures, Deloitte Consulting has acquired an equity interest in Intira Corp., an Internet and network infrastructure provider. As a result of the alliance, Intira will gain access to Deloitte's methodologies and consultants in exchange for a less than 10 percent stake in the company. Deloitte and Intira will offer customers IT, networking, and application design and integration services to its customers. "Our equity interest in Intira and selection of them to support our own applications reaffirms our faith in the company as well as supports one of our key strategies -- to become a leading outsourcing provider," said Craig Hodgetts, Deloitte Consulting's managing director for outsourcing.
